Welcome and thank you for the opportunity to tell you more about my campaign for the office of Lieutenant Governor.  I have been fortunate to be able to serve my community and the people of Hawaii as a member of the State Legislature for many productive years.  My political experience in the State House and the Senate, including six years as the Senate President, makes me the most qualified candidate in the race.

No other candidate has the depth and breadth of my political experience.

While serving as the President of the Senate, I was often required to make hard decisions. I have demonstrated that I can work well with others and find the middle ground that can move issues forward towards results.

I will be a working link between the Governor, the State Legislature and the public.

I have always had an open door policy with the public and the media which I will continue as your Lieutenant Governor.  I am a staunch advocate for the middle class and a believer in the power of small business to create economic prosperity in our state.  I am also a family man who can understand and appreciate the basic concerns shared by the working people of this State.

It’s not enough to simply list the problems.  Leaders suggest solutions.  I will work with the Governor, the Legislature and the public to implement common sense approaches to the challenges ahead.  You can count on it!
